The Story of Us

Dine Easy is a social enterprise that cooks and delivers meals to university students. In October 2016, Dine Easy was born out of the necessity for such a service, a necessity evident by Western University’s student body. We have evolved from that and now deliver meals to all residents of London, Ontario!

With deadlines to meet, people to see and places to go, some people just don’t have the time to cook for themselves. Even if time was abundant, there are still those people who just don’t know the difference between a spatula and ladle.

Our goal is to eliminate these two challenges for our customers.

We offer a healthy meal service that is completely hassle-free and affordable.

We cook our meals in the morning and deliver them hot, the same day we cook them, never chilled or frozen. With three different delivery days, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, customers can kick back and navigate their schedules with ease.

But we don’t want to be just a food service, we want to be so much more!

Our mission is to make a positive and long-term impact on the community of London, Ontario.

  1. We provide tangible real-world experience to individuals who face unemployment barriers.
  2. Our containers and delivery bags are 100% recyclable materials.
  3. We give customers the option to purchase meals at 50% off to be donated to the homeless/less fortunate and donate our leftovers from our kitchen as well.

Through these efforts, we really hope to make a difference in our local community while helping students maintain a healthy, balanced diet.

Thank you so much for joining us on this journey to make a change. We can’t wait to Dine Easy with you. If you have any more questions or concerns you would like to address, please feel free to contact us at info@dineeasy.ca.

5 things to do in London, Ontario other than hitting the bars

Let’s face it: Here in London, Ontario we have some great bars. Dollar beers at Jack’s, Bingo night at Ceeps, Flashback Fridays, Feasibility Night at Frogs…I could go on. Though drinks and dancing is an age old tradition that is never going to go out of fashion, if you do ever get tired of rallying every weekend, there are plenty of other things you can do on a weekend here in London. Go ahead and give some of these places a try (and you still can go crawling back to the bar at night!)

1. Visit Sifton Bog

There’s a reason we’re nicknamed “The Forest City”! Sifton Bog is a boardwalk through the forest in London that is truly an undiscovered gem. Lush and green in early fall and winter wonderland-like in January, Sifton bog is beautiful year round. Grab your pals, a to-go hot chocolate and take a walk through nature. Take some photos and have your followers thinking you went somewhere tropical over the weekend.

2. Victoria Park

Did the figure skaters at the Winter Olympics inspire you? Are you and your S.O. dying to get your Virtue-Moir on? If yes, head over to Victoria Park with your skates and practice your spins in London’s beautiful outdoor rink. Even if you go in fall, there are plenty of things to do, including a splash pad, trails and more. Nearby is St. Paul’s Cathedral, a gorgeous church building that is just as Instagram-worthy inside.

3. Budweiser Gardens

Budweiser Gardens is the place to go if you want to get involved with the wider London community. From London Knights games to music performances, its the perfect place to do something different. Its a great place to go with friends, your S.O. or if your family is visiting you for the weekend. (Pssst… Kevin Hart is performing in April!)

4. Sundance Balloons

Sundance Balloons are a hot air balloon company that operates in only a select few locations across the country. Hop on a colourful ride and float far, far away from those finals! You’ll feel like you’re in the movie “UP” with those breathtaking views of the Forest City down below. They’re operational all year round, so long as it’s not too windy.

5. London Farmer’s Market

Head down to London Farmer’s Market on Saturdays if you’re fresh out of rez and trying (maybe struggling) to cook for yourself. Here you’ll find local, homegrown ingredients to cook your meals with whilst at the same time discovering cute, seasonal items that you wouldn’t ordinarily find at the grocery store!

However, if you do want a fresh, healthy meal without having to leave the couch (we all have those days), you can order from Dine Easy! We deliver freshly cooked, delicious meals right to your door.
